In our Czech offices located in the Prague city center we have more than 700 employees from about 49 different nationalities and we are still growing. The Prague branch was chosen as the headquarters for the Euro hub of Commerzbank Group Finance, the Trade Service Hub and the Continental Europe Center for Human Resources.

Digital Center

The Digital Technology Center (DTC) in Prague

In Commerzbank Digital Technology Center Prague we are transforming a traditional bank into a digital agile enterprise. Our DTC provides Commerzbank and its end customers with a wide range of various IT solutions from creative .Net, and Java development to agile production projects in application operations and infrastructure teams. The DTC was reintegrated into Commerzbank from Commerz Systems in November 2018. Prague is the biggest oldest and most mature Digital Technology Center, the others are in Lodz and Sofia.

Igor Savič

Head of Digital Technology Center (DTC) Prague

I joined Commerzbank in 2001 as a student within the Prague branch, working as a systems administrator. After graduating from Czech Technical University, I joined Deloitte as a consultant in the Risk Services Department. My responsibilities included evaluating IT Controls, IT Security and Risk Management. When in 2005 Commerzbank established a Prague IT Development center, I rejoined as a Project Manager. Since then I have been promoted into a number of management positions including Service Delivery Manager, Group Lead and Chapter Lead roles. From summer of 2021 I have been head of DTC Prague.

Chapter Lead CI/CD

I joined Commerzbank in 2017 as a Software Engineer for Middleware services. During the time here I became a team lead and after 2 years I moved to management level.

These days I am responsible for the CI-CD Agile&QA cluster in Prague, where our focus is providing automated solutions for internal IT customers.

We are working with Agile mindset based on DevOps principles and I have also established a DevOps community to bring people together as I believe that together we can help the bank with proper solutions and it is also attractive for all of us to learn something new from each other best practices.

Chapter Lead Prague Development – Post Trading

I joined Commerzbank in 2005 as a senior Java developer. I stepped through various roles including Lead J2EE developer & Lead technical Architect. While still being a Java developer at heart, my path has moved towards leading positions - line and unit management being responsible for group of people in several teams (Developers, BAs & Testers). I am a technology and innovation enthusiast. Embracing change and showing courage in the face of uncertainty are what I am known for, as well as being an agile transformation evangelist. I like how we are transforming a traditional bank into a digital agile enterprise putting digitalization, happy customer, agile mindset, proud employees, simplification and nearshore locations like Prague on the 1st place.
